"Qingsheng No. 1" Slurry Pressure Balance Shield TBM Was Officially Launched

On September 11th, the "Qingsheng No. 1" slurry pressure balance shield TBM, developed by Tangxing Technology, was officially launched. This marks the commencement of the tunneling phase for the 220 kV power transmission line relocation project in the Qingsheng Hub Block, Nansha District, Guangzhou, specifically for the cable tunnel project.

The machine features a tunneling diameter of 4.36 meters and a total length of 80 meters. It is a high-performance shield TBM custom-built for the complex construction conditions of this project. It will undertake a total of 5,137.5 meters of tunneling. During the excavation, it will pass through various composite strata, including fine sand, silt, clay, and mudstone, and face technical challenges such as continuous tunneling over 2,198.9 meters, shallow overburden settlement control, and sharp curve turns.

To address these challenges, "Qingsheng No. 1" integrates multiple innovative designs: a dual-spherical joint structure that allows for a minimum turning radius of R 80 meters; the use of high thrust and high torque anti-jamming technology to improve hard rock crushing efficiency and prevent machine jamming; an intelligent slurry circulation real-time monitoring system to provide data support for tunnel face stability; a high-pressure combined sealing technology to enhance the machine's adaptability under complex hydrogeological conditions; and a modular starting scheme for quick assembly and efficient launching at the site.
