A Perfect Breakthrough for "Da Shun" Earth Pressure Balance Shield TBM in the Chongqing Dadukou 110kV Bai'ao Line Relocation Project

On June 29th, the "Da Shun" Earth Pressure Balance Shield TBM successfully completed the full-line breakthrough in the Chongqing Dadukou 110kV Bai'ao Line Relocation Project, marking a significant breakthrough in this key municipal power infrastructure construction project.

In this relocation project, a total of 3.489 km of new electric power tunnels were constructed, of which 2.806 km were shield tunnels. The tunnel alignment had significant fluctuations and crossed through soft and hard soil layers multiple times. The shallowest soil cover depth was only 7 meters, and the geology was complex, with rock strength varying drastically from 10 MPa to 40 MPa. The tunnel also passed under an elevated bridge, with the smallest curve radius being just 250 meters. These challenging engineering conditions placed extremely high demands on the performance of the shield TBM.

In the face of these challenges, Tangxing Technology's technical team meticulously optimized the machine's power, cutter head wear resistance, and torque for unclogging. Particularly, the cutter head design abandoned traditional approaches and adopted a unique "four spokes + four panels" composite structure, which enhanced the overall strength and stability of the cutter head, enabling it to cope with various complex construction scenarios.

At the same time, Tangxing Technology's project service team focused on the "full lifecycle" management of the shield TBM, from equipment installation and commissioning to operation and maintenance, fault troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Every step was carefully controlled to ensure that the shield TBM operated in optimal condition, ensuring smooth progress of the project.
