The Rollout of the "Dashun" Earth Pressure Balance Shield TBM

On March 11th, the "Dashun" earth pressure balance shield TBM, independently developed by Tangxing Technology, was successfully rolled off the production line at the trenchless equipment industrial park. It will be utilized in the first shield tunnel construction in Dadukou District, Chongqing, for the high-voltage power grid relocation project - Chongqing Dadukou 110 kV Baiao Line No. 7 to No. 19 and other lines relocation project.

The project involves the construction of a new power tunnel with a total length of 3.489km, out of which the shield tunnel stretches for 2.806km. The tunnel axis experiences significant variations and traverses through strata characterized by soft upper layers and hard lower layers. The shallowest covering soil depth reaches 7m, presenting complex geological conditions with rock strengths varying from 10MPa to 40MPa. Moreover, the tunnel passes beneath viaducts, with the line's minimum turning radius being 250m. These demanding project conditions impose rigorous requirements on the performance and maneuverability of the shield machine.

To address the technical challenges of the project, Tangxing Technology's technical team tailored the "Dashun" earth pressure balance shield TBM with a cutterhead excavation diameter of 4.9m and an overall machine length of approximately 65m. The equipment underwent targeted optimization design in terms of installed power, cutterhead wear resistance, and escape torque. Featuring a composite design of "four spokes + four panels" for the cutterhead and incorporating innovative technologies such as longitudinal slope turning propulsion alternate zoning and screw machine output slag prevention and recyclable technology, the machine provides a solid technical guarantee for the smooth penetration of the tunnel in the later stages.

The relocation project of No. 7 to No. 19 of the 110 kV Baiao Line in Dadukou, Chongqing, is crucial for promoting the comprehensive integration of Dadukou District into the rapid development of Chongqing. Upon completion, the project will accelerate urban construction in the area and provide a robust foundation for the economic and social development of Chongqing.
