"Egret" Rectangular Pipe Jacking Machine Triumphantly Breaks Through in Bazhou Project

On December 22nd, amidst the resounding hum, the cutter head of the "Egret" large-diameter rectangular pipe jacking machine smoothly broke through, marking the successful completion of the Bazhou City Sewage Treatment Full Coverage Project's (Southern Region) Large-Section 300-Meter Ultra-Long Distance Rectangular Pipe Jacking Project. This accomplishment lays a robust foundation for the project's timely completion.

Situated in the southern region of Bazhou City, Hebei Province, this project implements earth pressure balance construction technology for uphill jacking. Spanning 300 meters, the pipe jacking maneuvers through a complex environment, traversing dense residential areas and subterranean soft soil layers, with the covering soil thickness ranging from 6.11 to 6.72 meters and a slope of 0.12%. These conditions pose considerable construction challenges and safety risks, demanding heightened adaptability and reliability from the pipe jacking equipment.

To address the unique demands of large-section and long-distance rectangular pipe jacking excavation, Tangxing Technology developed the "Egret," a substantial rectangular pipe jacking machine. This equipment, among the largest in the entire Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, features a pipe section size of 5.5 meters × 4.8 meters, a length of 1.5 meters, and weighs 41.09 tons. Contrasted with traditional open-cut methods, employing rectangular pipe jacking and underground excavation technology boasts eco-friendliness, safety, environmental consciousness, and efficiency. Moreover, this construction method minimizes road traffic impact, ground disturbance, and reduces construction risks, ensuring a shorter project timeline while emphasizing safety and efficacy.

Upon project completion, it will expedite the comprehensive deployment of sewage collection and treatment facilities in Bazhou City, satisfying the sewage treatment requirements of the northern region. This initiative effectively alleviates and manages water environment pollution issues in Bazhou City's villages and towns, playing a crucial role in enhancing the water environment quality of surrounding watersheds and fostering sustainable, high-quality economic and social development in Bazhou City.
