"Zhujiang No. 1" Rectangular Pipe Jacking Machine Was Successfully Launched

Recently, the first pipe jacking machine "Zhujiang No. 1" of the Zhujiang Station access road  power pipeline tunnel was successfully launched, marking that the project has officially entered the excavation construction stage.

This project is located in Wanqingsha Town, Nansha District, with a total length of 1520.574 meters, of which the pipe jacking section is 1482.4 meters long. As the first starting equipment of the project, the "Zhujiang No. 1" pipe jacking machine undertook the excavation task with a total length of 720 meters. The pipe jacking section adopts the undercutting construction method, and the cover soil thickness is between 5.11 and 9.48 meters.

The "Zhujiang No. 1" slurry balance rectangular pipe jacking machine was perfectly customized by Tangxing Technology. The whole machine is 3.32 meters wide and 4.42 meters high. It integrates the cutter head excavation system, drive system, shield system, mucking system, excavation system and post-supporting system. It adopts 1 large and 3 small multi-cutter combination excavation design, slurry pipeline mucking technology and automatic friction reduction technology, and successfully overcomes many technical difficulties in vertical rectangular pipe jacking construction, such as rapid excavation and forming, main body posture control and soil settlement control.

During the construction process, the Tangxing Technology Service Team demonstrated a high sense of responsibility and professionalism, standing by around the clock to ensure the smooth progress of the project.

As a supporting facility for the Nansha National Culture and Sports Complex, the project will further optimize the power network layout of the Nansha Port Area after completion to meet the power demand of large urban complexes.
